The Truncheon is the world's favourite nutrient meter, having proven itself indispensable to hydroponic gardeners everywhere. The Bluelab nutrient Truncheon is incredibly easy to use, all you do is stir your nutrients with it and then place it in the solution and it automatically takes a reading in EC or PPM. The truncheon may seem a bit expensive but you're paying for the bullet-proof reliability that Bluelabs provide, they have such confidence in the quality of their product that they will fix or replace it if it breaks down within 5 years.

It is essential when growing with a hydroponic system to know precisely what the strength of your nutrient is before feeding your plants with potentially toxic or deficient EC levels. This is easy if you use the Bluelab Truncheon! to take a reading of your solution - simply place the probe head into the solution for 1-2 minutes to allow it to reach the same temp as your nutrient. Remove from the solution and place back in to take the reading as indicated by the flashing lights. Clean the Bluelab truncheon in fresh water once a week taking care to thoroughly rinse the probe, this will ensure your nutrient truncheon always takes accurate readings.

Great Product
They used to be more expensive than this. Excellent product. Batteries last forever. The Blue LED design is very bright compared to the old red LED design, a great improvement. Probably the easiest and most robust Electric Conductivity / Parts Per Million meter on the market for the hobbyist.
