Another new feature the Lumatek electronic ballast now has is a super lumen switch, this makes it possible to use metal halide lamps and to increase light output from sodium lamps. It is very important not to use the super lumen switch with metal halide lamps. Lumatek electronic ballast are more efficient than standard ballast

Lumatek ballasts with the super lumen switch in the off position and providing you change your lamps regularly will save a small amount of electricity. With the lumatek ballast super lumen switch on it will use more electricity but it will produce a higher level of light than a standard ballast.
