Osram sodium lamps are used for the flower-phase of plant growth when the plants need loads of red spectrum light which these bulbs put out. You can use sodium lamps for vegetative growth as well but a metal halide blue spectrum lamp would achieve much better growth rates.Osram son-t-plus bulbs have a higher output than standard sodium lamps which will definitely give you a little extra come harvest time. Osram bulbs are a little more expensive than those from other manufacturers but its money well spent in this case.
