The Polytunnel Project Harvest - A

Well its every growers favorite time of year - harvest!

Its been almost two weeks since an update and the Sweetcorn & Pumpkins have been enjoying pure water...so lets show you what have harvested:

Sweetcorn

Well for the first run we won't complain - we got 3 decent filled out Corns - others were just thin with few or no kernels inside

NZ Pumpkins B - are the only ones we are going to pick for now - the vine was beginning to shrivel up. For some reason the dreaded 'spider mite' loved this particular Pumpkin and we could clearly see mites and webs running across the vines. 

So although they are 1/2 the size of NZ Pumpkins A and the UK Pumpkins - they are definitely ready. Still on plain water we are leaving the remaining Pumpkins and monitoring the vines, removing dead leaves - and will keep you updated.
